The Possessió
According to the land registry from 1578, this possessió near Alaró was known at the time as Son Pisá. Its owner, Jaume de Berga y de Caulelles, was a lieutenant on Mallorca and the owner of an entail that included the estate near Alaró, which later became known as Son Berga de Alaró.
At the beginning of the 20th century, the finca was purchased by Manuel Salas and later inherited by his daughter, Guadalupe Salas. In 1950, she commissioned an extensive renovation of the estate, which was overseen by her uncle, the architect Carlos Garau. The finca remains in the ownership of the same family to this day.
Finca Son Berga covers 132 hectares, which are still used for agricultural purposes today. The historic stables and agricultural buildings have been completely renovated and now provide a charming and authentic setting for celebrations, private events and special occasions.
